History and Timeline

  1. Apr 1964

    Keiwa Auto Body Shop opens in Kitano, Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture.

  2. Dec 1966

    The company changes its name to Keiwa Motor Vehicles Ltd. and starts a vehicle repair business as a certified automobile maintenance shop.

  3. Nov 1979

    Keiwa starts a transportation business in Sayamagahara, Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture under the name Keiwa Unyu Ltd.

  4. Dec 1981

    Keiwa Kogyo Ltd. is established in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture.

  5. May 1990

    Due to increased demand for temporary staffing services, Keiwa Kogyo Ltd. changes its name to Keiwa Harvest Co., Ltd. and operates as a temporary staffing agency.

  6. Jan 1991

    The company expands its transportation business to Tokyo and changes its name to Keiwa Unyu Co., Ltd.

  7. Nov 1995

    Flex Co., Ltd. is established in Miyadera, Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture. (This marks Keiwa’s full-fledged involvement in the 3PL business.)

  8. Mar 1997

    The Tokyo Sales Office opens in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo Prefecture.

  9. Jul 1998

    Keiwa Tascal Co., Ltd. is established in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture. (This expands our business into new areas, such as welfare and nursing care, with a focus on insurance agency.)

  10. Dec 2000

    Mitsuru Kawashima becomes president and CEO of Keiwa Unyu Co., Ltd.

  11. Jun 2003

    The Higashimatsuyama Sales Office opens in Namegawamachi, Hiki District, Saitama Prefecture.

  12. Mar 2004

    The Kan-etsu Sales Office opens in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture.

  13. May 2004

    The Higashikanto Sales Office opens in Inashiki City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

  14. Sep 2004

    The Yokohama Sales Office opens in Hodogaya Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

  15. Sep 2006

    The Osaka Sales Office opens in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture.

  16. Dec 2006

    The company launches a special consolidated cargo transportation business. (It operates a route between the Tokyo and Osaka regions.)

  17. Apr 2009

    The new Tokorozawa Logistics Center opens in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture, in conjunction with the opening of the Tokorozawa Sales Office.

  18. Aug 2009

    The Oizumi Sales Office opens in Oizumimachi, Oura District, Gunma Prefecture.

  19. Apr 2010

    Keiwa Tascal Co., Ltd. acquires a license for specified passenger transportation business and expands the scope of its pick-up and drop-off business.

    The Tochigi Sales Office opens in Sakura City, Tochigi Prefecture.

  21. Sep 2011

    The Mizuho Logistics Center opens in Mizuhomachi, Tokyo Prefecture.

  22. Oct 2011

    The Okegawa Sales Office opens in Okegawa City, Saitama Prefecture, and the Keiyo Sales Office opens in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture.

  23. Apr 2012

    The Koshigaya Sales Office opens in Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture.

  24. Apr 2013

    The Solar Power Division is established at Flex Co., Ltd., and the company launches its power sales business. Solar Power Station 1 is established at the Tokorozawa Logistics Center.

  25. May 2013

    The Gifu Sales Office opens in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture.

  26. Oct 2013

    The Nishitokyo Sales Office opens in Nishitokyo City, Tokyo Prefecture.

  27. Dec 2013

    Solar Power Stations 2 and 3 are established at the Mizuho Logistics Center.

  28. Jan 2014

    The Koshigaya Sales Office moves to Yashio City, Saitama Prefecture and renamed the Yashio Sales Office.

  29. Jun 2014

    Tokorozawa Logistics Center 2 opens in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture, at the same location as the Miyoshi Sales Office. Solar Power Station 4 is established.

  30. Aug 2014

    A new office building is completed at the Tokorozawa Sales Office.

  31. Feb 2015

    The Kanagawa Sales Office opens in Aikawamachi, Aiko District, Kanagawa Prefecture.

  32. Mar 2015

    Solar Power Station 5 is established at an external warehouse in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture.

  33. Apr 2015

    The Nagano Sales Office opens in Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture.

  34. Sep 2015

    Un-chan (meaning “driver”), a stage play about the present state of the transportation industry, is performed.

  35. Jun 2016

    The Utsunomiya Sales Office opens in Shimotsuke City, Tochigi Prefecture.

  36. Nov 2016

    The Hanyu Sales Office opens in Hanyu City, Saitama Prefecture.

  37. Jul 2017

    The Keihoku Sales Office opens in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture.

  38. Aug 2017

    The new Tokyo Office building and Keiyo Warehouse open in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture. The Tokyo Sales Office moves to a new location, and the Ichikawa Sales Office opens.

  39. Sep 2017

    The Tsukuba Sales Office opens in Joso City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

  40. Oct 2017

    A new company building is built in Sayamadai, Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture, and the company’s headquarters and Iruma Sales Office move there. The new Iruma Logistics Center also opens at that time, and Solar Power Station 6 is established. The stage play Un-chan (Driver) 2: Female Drivers Edition is performed. The Okegawa Sales Office is renamed the Ken-o Sales Office.

    The Chukyo Sales Office opens in Toyoake City, Aichi Prefecture.

  42. Jan 2019

    The Kashiwa Sales Office opens in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture.

  43. Feb 2019

    The Nishitokyo Sales Office moves to Niiza City and is renamed the Niiza Sales Office.

  44. Mar 2019

    The Hanshin Sales Office opens in Konohana Ward, Osaka City.

  45. May 2019

    The Koshigaya Sales Office opens in Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture. The new Nishitokyo Sales Office opens in Nishitokyo City, Tokyo Prefecture.
